Fly-In / Cruise-In
Now in its 35th year, the Marion Fly-In/Cruise-In is one of Indiana’s most beloved community airport events. Pilots fly in, car enthusiasts cruise in, and families come from all over Grant County for a full morning at the airport.
Antique, classic, homebuilt, ultralight, rotorcraft and warbird aircraft fill the ramp. Show vehicles of every era line up alongside them. An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast kicks off the day at 7:00am. Everything is free — admission, parking, and show vehicle registration.

Indy Airstrip Attack
The Indy Airstrip Attack is a half-mile, side-by-side trap speed competition that takes over KMZZ every summer — and it’s one of the most unique events in Midwest motorsports. Some of the fastest street cars in the country run flat-out down our runway.
The event is run by Shift-S3ctor as part of a national series, and Marion is one of four stops on the 2026 schedule. When the Airstrip Attack first came to Indiana, 2,500 spectators showed up. By the second year that number jumped to 4,000 — a 60% increase. It’s grown every year since.
You don’t have to be a car person or a pilot to love this event. It’s three days of speed, noise, and spectacle right on the airport.
